The Center for Personalized Diagnostics at Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute seeks to fill a Post-Doctoral Research position in the area of protein chemistry.
This position will involve protein expression, purification, and characterization. Purified proteins will be used either for the production of novel affinity reagents (J Am Chem Soc. 131(47):17233-41, 2009) or for the characterization of their biochemical/enzymatic properties toward selected targets of interest. The position will also involve discovery or design of enzymatic activity against target substrates. The successful applicant will mentor graduate students, prepare scientific reports, and assist in the grant application process.
Salary and benefits are competitive. The position is renewable annually for a maximum of three years, contingent on satisfactory performance, availability of funding, and the needs of the program.
