Charles Arntzen has been elected to the board of the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR). NCGR is a non-profit research institute dedicated to improving human health and nutrition through collaborative research at the intersection of bioscience, computing and mathematics. Among their objectives are improved diagnosis, control and cure of infectious disease, and better nutrition and food safety.
Dr. Mary Lipscomb, NCGR Board chairman, said of the 16 individuals elected or reappointed to the board: "All have many years of experience in business, science or senior management with prestigious institutions or highly successful companies."
